Real Madrid prepare bid for Chelsea midfielder

Football Express News understands that Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has prepared a summer bid for Chelsea midfielder Ramires.

The Spanish side are ready to make several changes to their squad, despite winning a much coveted 10th European title in May against rivals Atletico Madrid and it is understood that Brazilian midfielder Ramires has been chosen by Italian boss Carlo Ancelotti as a key transfer target.

The former Benfica man has been in superb from at Stamford Bridge since he arrived in 2010 and his performances in the Champions League, in particular – a goalscoring performance against Barcelona in the 2012/2013 semi-final, has further enhanced his reputation.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is known to be unwilling to sell the 27-year-old, but Madrid officials are understood to be keen on offering French defender Raphael Varane in return.

Whilst, no formal bid has been made by Madrid to Chelsea, it is understood that a package will be sent to them in the coming days.
