AFC Bournemouth have announced that goalkeeper Artur Boruc is returning to the club on a permanent deal next season.

The Polish international had played the whole of the 14-15 season in the championship on loan for AFC Bournemouth, but had previously been at Southampton for three years.

And, now the club have confirmed that the former Celtic stopper has finalized a contract, which is initially for a one year deal, with an option to add another 12 months to his contact at the end of the 15/16 season.

He told the club website last month: “As soon as I came here, I saw a bunch of lads who were really working hard and they had their minds on football. In my life, I’ve never seen a group who have worked so hard and been as professional as possible.

“It’s probably the first season I’ve seen what it is to be a professional footballer from the way they are on the training ground to everything else.”

Boruc kept 16 clean sheets in 37 games in the championship for the cherries this season, including four in the final five, which assured promotion to the Premier League.

He becomes the first addition to Eddie Howe’s side which looks as though is going to have a busy transfer window.

Who else do you think AFC Bournemouth should sign?
