Manchester City will battle Real Madrid and Barcelona for Paul Pogba after Paris Saint-Germain pulled out of the running to sign the Juventus midfielder.

Paul Pogba is one of the most sought after players in this season’s transfer market, with a host of clubs seemingly willing to stump up the colossal fee needed to lure him away from Juventus.

Recently, Chelsea and Manchester United seemed to fall behind the pack in their bid to land the Frenchman, which has only spurred on the likes of Manchester City and particularly Real Madrid, who now find themselves in pole position to get their man.

Manchester City have made it clear they are willing to do big business this summer as they overhaul their squad in order to bring young, fresh legs into the side and challenge once more for titles. Pogba would fit this mould perfectly and also provide a long-term replacement for Yaya Toure, who looks set to leave the Ethiad.

However, it is Real Madrid that are clear favourites to sign the young Frenchmen. In an interview with Telefoot, ex-Madrid goalkeeper Francisco Buyo has said that Pogba and Real Madrid President Florentino Perez have already discussed the summer transfer.

According to Buyo, the Frenchman already at Madrid, the likes of Karim Benzema, Raphael Varane and Zinedine Zidance would be a massive part of Pogba’s decision as well as the incredible financial package Madrid would offer him.
