Chelsea ace hopes Drogba will get new deal

Chelsea skipper John Terry has told the Daily Mirror that he hopes Didier Drogba will get a new deal at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Drogba may not have played many games for the Blues this term, but the 37-year-old has still played a big part in Chelsea’s title success, since returning to the west London club at the start of this season. The former Ivory Coast international has netted seven time in all competitions.

“Let’s hope he’s in the camp next season,” Terry is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror. “He’s got a massive part to play on and off the field. He’s been great because he’s had to be patient. Ideally he would have liked a bit more game-time. But Diego Costa hit the ground running, scoring a lot of goals.”

The Chelsea stalwart added; “Didier’s experience and the way he speaks before the games, after defeats when you’re down and you need an old head to help.”
