Spurs join Arsenal in race to sign Premier League title winner

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a summer move for Chelsea keeper Petr Cech, if they lose Hugo Lloris.

French keeper Lloris is heavily tipped to leave White Hart Lane this summer with both Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United showing interest.

And, that has prompted Spurs to join Arsenal with interest in Petr Cech, who is available for transfer this summer from Premier League champions Chelsea.

The Czech Republic international is known to be disgruntled at sitting on the bench behind Thibaut Courtois, who has established himself as Jose Mourinho’s number one after three successful season loans to Atletico Madrid.

The 32-year-old has been linked with a number of Europe’s biggest clubs including Inter Milan, Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain, of whom the latter are believed to have already agreed a deal.

Former Chelsea coach Ray Wilkins made comments to beIN Sport after PSG were beaten by Barcelona in the Champions League last month, claiming a deal had already been agreed between Chelsea and the Ligue 1 champions.

However, those reports now seem to have been proven false with Arsenal ready to pounce on the four-time Premier League title winner and tempt him in a move across London.
