Arsenal hero Henry criticises Man United striker over Real Madrid goal

Thierry Henry has hit out at Javier Hernandez for his goal celebration in Real Madrid’s Champions League win over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

The Manchester United loanee netted the only goal of the two-legged tie against Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, having been set-up by another former Red Devil in Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rather than thank the winger, the Mexican striker celebrated on his own, something Henry believes was wrong.

“Football is a team game,” the Frenchman wrote. “Yes, [Hernandez] scored the all-important goal, but the work of [Ronaldo] made it possible. It cannot be underestimated.

“I love it when players celebrate and acknowledge the player that made the assist. The pass can be just as important as the goal.”
