Crystal Palace keen on Newcastle United star

Crystal Palace look to sign Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul in the summer, according to The Sun.

Palace boss Alan Pardew, who arrived at the club from St James’ Park earlier this term, looks to bring the Magpies goal-stopper to join him at Selhurst Park.

And according to The Sun, there’s a good chance of the deal going through as Krul is keen to move somewhere new.

The 27-year-old has been suggested to have changed agents in efforts to get a summer switch, and with other Premier League clubs not showing interest in the Dutchman, it looks likely Palace will sign him.

Krul is said to be earning £28,000-a-week, which when compared to Premier League standards is low, and Eagles co-chairman Steve Parish is said to be willing to push forward a higher rate to secure his services.

Crystal Palace are currently eleventh in the Barclays Premier League having accumulated 42 points, with Newcastle United in thirteenth on 35 points.
