Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez is set to reject a move to Orlando City as he wishes to remain in the Premier League.

The striker is currently on loan with Spanish side Real Madrid but will return to Old Trafford in June.

Having struggled to find first team football at the Santiago Bernabeu, Hernandez is now keen to find a new club, preferring not to prove himself to United boss Louis van Gaal.

The 26-year-old signed for United in 2010 and gained regular playing time under Sir Alex Ferguson, however, his time under boss David Moyes saw him feature less and less, later being deemed surplus to requirements by new boss Louis van Gaal.

The Mexico international is now being linked with Orlando City as they seek to improve their attacking options in what is their first MLS season, however, it is understood that he is keen to remain in England.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur remain the favourites to complete his signature.
