Arsenal are leading the race to sign impressive Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost, according to Bild.
The 25-year-old has been in superb form for the Bundesliga club this season, scoring 16 goals which has helped them hold a second place in the table, behind leaders Bayern Munich.
A number of European clubs have been monitoring his performances, with five clubs from the Premier League interested.
Swansea City have been linked as they seek to replace Wilfried Bony, who signed for Manchester City in the January transfer window.
Southampton, Stoke City and Newcastle United are also showing interest but Arsenal’s interest will surely make them favourites to capture the Dutchman.
Dost has an impressive scoring record, having once scored 38 goals in 39 games for Heerenveen.
