Emmanuel Adebayor has emerged as a potential summer signing for Chelsea, despite scoring just two Premier League goals for Tottenham Hotspur this season.
The Togolese has been heavily criticised this season, along with Roberto Soldado, after some woeful displays for Spurs and has scored just two goals this season.
Linked with a summer exit from White Hart Lane, Adebayor is now linked with a shock switch to Chelsea and it is understood that a deal could be agreed by the end of this week.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is considering the move, and could sign the former Arsenal man on a cut price deal.
Mourinho and Adebayor have worked together previously, during their time at Real Madrid and the Portuguese coach is a big admirer of the striker.
Didier Drogba is set to be released this summer and it is understood that Adebayor is seen as the perfect man to provide back-up to Diego Costa and Loic Remy.
