Besiktas have officially denied reports that they have held talks with Chelsea keeper Petr Cech.
Cech has played second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois this season and has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, gaining interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and other top European clubs.
Besiktas are said to be interested and are on the look out for a new number one, following a story released last week by Turkish daily Takvim, claiming the club had held talks with Cech and his agent.
However, a statement on the club’s official website has denied such claims.
“The report in the Takvim newspaper claiming that he held a meeting with Petr Cech’s agent is false.”
Italian side Roma are also considering a move for Cech this coming summer.
