West Bromwich Albion keeper Ben Foster has been ruled out for six months due to a knee problem.

Baggies stopper Foster was forced off during his side’s victory over Stoke City last week and initial reports claimed he would miss a month of action.

However, it is now understood that he will in-fact miss six months of football, meaning he will be unavailable for Tony Pulis’s side for the remainder of the season.

The 31-year-old has been replaced in the England squad by Jack Butland, whilst Rob Green has called up injured Fraser Forster.

Meanwhile, Danny Rose of Tottenham has been drafted into Roy Hodgson’s side for the upcoming games against Lithuania and Italy.
