Man City cruise to a 3-0 win over WBA

Manchester City cruised to a 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon after the visitors were forced down to 10 men.

With a just a minute played in the game, Gareth McAuley was sent off after referee Neil Swarbrick dismissed the wrong man, believing the midfielder to be Craig Dawson, who had made a last-man foul on Wilfried Bony.

The home side took full advantage of their extra man as both Frank Lampard and David Silva tested the form of visiting keeper Boaz Myhill.

Sergio Aguero was next up to try his luck but he was once again denied, before Manuel Pellegrini’s side finally broke the deadlock through Bony, who netted his first City goal.

City doubled their lead just before half time when the creator of the first, Fernando, profited from Jonas Olsson’s mistake and fired past Myhill.

And, it would 3-0 late on the game as Gael Clichy played in Silva, who sent a delightful chip into the bottom corner.
