Everton were thumped 5-2 on the night by Dynamo Kiev as they exited the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The home side started the game well and instantly put Roberto Martinez’s side under pressure with both Oleg Gusev and Antunes testing Tim Howard.

And, they would take the lead shortly after when the impressive Andriy Yarmolenko cut in from the right before unleashing a superb effort past the helpless Everton keeper.

Romelu Lukaku levelled the game for Everton and restored their aggregate lead but two quick goals from Lukasz Teodorczyk and Miguel Veloso saw Kiev race in front.

After the half-time break, Gusev would get himself on the scoresheet, before Antunes added a superb late finish.

Phil Jagielka added a late goal for the English side but it proved too little too late as the last English side in European competition exited.
