Kevin de Bruyne has further reminded Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho of his ability after netting a superb brace against Inter Milan on Thursday evening.

After his dealings in the transfer window this season, initially everyone praised Mourinho for his shrewd business – managing to bring in top players, getting rid of supposed deadwood and still managing to comply with Financial Fair Play rules.

When Wolfsburg took Kevin De Bruyne off Chelsea’s books the transfer seemingly went under the radar as the big summer moves that saw Diego Costa and Fabregas, amongst others, join the ranks at the Stamford Bridge grabbed the headlines.

However, though he was a fringe player at Chelsea, the young Belgian showed glimpses of genius when he was given the opportunity.

This didn’t go unnoticed by the Wolfsburg scouts, and since joining the Bundesliga side De Bruyne has helped his team tick, scoring 13 goals and providing an impressive 20 assists in 36 games. This incredible form has helped Wolfsburg lose just four league games this season where they lie second, as well as performing well in Europe.

After a tough evening for Jose yesterday, De Bruyne’s two goals this evening that helped his side come back from 1-0 down to win 3-1.
