Liverpool tell Chelsea: We have alternatives to Petr Cech

Liverpool have informed Chelsea that they will not be hold to ransom over Petr Cech, and have plenty of alternatives.

The 32-year-old is fully expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after losing his starting place to Thibaut Courtois, however, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has said that he will NOT be sold for a cheap price.

Liverpool have been extremely keen as boss Brendan Rodgers looks to replace Simon Mignolet, who has been fairly inconsistent this season.

However, despite their interest in Cech, the Merseyside club have informed their Premier League counter-parts that they do have alternatives.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Northern Irish coach is monitoring the progress of Atalanta keeper Marco Sportiello and Fiorentina’s Neto.

Both are expected to leave their current clubs after receiving heavy interest from a number of European clubs this season.
