Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah was the man of the moment for Fiorentina as his double saw them beat Juventus in Turin and end the home side’s unbeaten run of 47 games.
Juventus last lost at home 22 months back and have since held on to a successive 47 games without defeat at the Juventus stadium.
However, Salah, who has been in sublime form since arriving at the Florence side, had other ideas on Thursday night, scoring a superb brace to give his side a first-leg advantage against the Serie A leaders in the Coppa Italia.
Salah’s efforts were met with praise on social media platform Twitter as his former Blues team-mates tweeted about his performance.
