Arsenal bounced back from their Monaco defeat with a 2-0 win over Everton thanks to goals from Olivier Giroud and Tomas Rosicky.

A quiet opening moments saw the visiting side enjoy a good amount of possession, but there was no clear cut chances on goal.

Romelu Lukaku then burst into action as he stole the ball from Gabriel Paulista, but he was unable to force his effort past David Ospina.

Ross Barkley was then close to opening the scoring but he was also denied by Ospina, who was in good form.

Arsenal’s first chance came when Giroud got on the end of Alexis Sanchez’s near post cross, but the Frenchman was unable to force his header towards goal wards.

With half time approaching, Giroud finally broke the deadlock as he swept home the opener thanks to a Mesut Ozil corner.

The second half continued in similar style with both sides having chances.

Seamus Coleman found Aaron Lennon, but the former Tottenham Hotspur was unable to put Ospina under any pressure.

Arsenal had chances too through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain but neither side were able to force a goal until Rosicky pounced in the last minute to seal all three points.
